You asked, we delivered! You can now make Forms available for Support Workers to complete directly within the Astalty app, helping ensure important information is captured during supports.
When creating or editing a Form, you can enable Allow Support Workers to complete this Form on any Supports within the Astalty app. Once turned on, the Form will appear on every support for every Participant, making it easy for Support Workers to access and complete when needed.
If a Form is only relevant to a specific Participant, such as an individual ABC report, you can instead assign the Form directly to that Participant from their profile. This ensures Support Workers only see and complete Forms that are relevant to the Participant they are supporting.
You can now link a Form directly to an individual Participant, making it easier to track and complete participant-specific documentation. To do this, go to the Participant’s profile page and click Add Form in the Associated Forms section of the Forms menu
If you choose to make the Form accessible to Support Workers, it will be required when they clock out of their shift. If the Form isn’t completed at clock-out, the Support Worker will be prompted to either complete it afterward or provide a reason for why it wasn’t completed.

When updating the address for a participant, If you have the scheduling feature enabled, you may be prompted to confirm if you wish to update the address for future supports. If you do choose this option, the address will update on all future supports where the previous address was assigned.
You can now email a Participant’s support schedule as a PDF directly from their Supports page, making it quick and easy to share schedules with the right people.
From the Participant’s Supports page within their profile, select Email Supports as PDF from the Actions menu. You’ll be able to select the date range, add your recipients, enter your message and directly email this from Astalty as a PDF.
We’ve introduced Preferred Support Workers when assigning shifts, allowing schedulers to build a Preferred Team around each participant. This enhancement improves staff matching, care consistency, and visibility of participant-specific requirements.
By designating multiple support workers as Preferred, you can create a clearly defined team best suited to support each participant.
Key benefits include:
Easier identification of staff with specialised training or relevant qualifications
Improved continuity and overall quality of care
Faster and more confident shift assignment
Better alignment with individual participant needs and preferences
You can now apportion a sleepover charge on a group shift when there is a single support worker assigned. When used, Astalty will automatically apportion the sleepover charge appropriately, removing the need to manually calculate or split the amount. This update makes group sleepovers simpler and more consistent when automatic apportioning is required.
We’ve added a new warning to help prevent sleepovers from being rostered incorrectly.
When creating or editing a shift with a sleepover, Astalty will now alert you if the sleepover duration is not 8 hours. This gives you a clear prompt to review the shift before saving, helping catch mistakes early and ensuring sleepovers are set up correctly.
To help make sure travel is recorded accurately, Astalty now requires any Travel During Shift to be completed before you can Clock Out.
If a shift includes travel, Astalty won’t allow you to clock out until you’ve either entered your odometer readings or confirmed that no travel occurred during the shift. If you try to clock out without recording or ending travel, this will be clearly highlighted on the Clock Out page.
When you confirm Clock Out, Astalty will automatically take you to the Update Travel Odometer page, where you can enter your odometer readings or mark the travel as not occurring during that shift. This helps prevent missed travel entries and keeps your records accurate.
You can now manually export your timesheet batches for Xero as an Excel-ready CSV, giving you more flexibility and control over your payroll workflow.
After exporting a timesheet batch from the Actions menu, use the Export as Excel option in the three-dot menu within the Export for Xero panel to download a CSV file. The exported file is formatted and ready to import directly into Xero.
You can now create and manage multiple employment contracts for a single employee, giving you greater flexibility to reflect changes over time.
This update makes it easier to handle situations such as role changes, contract renewals, or different employment arrangements, while keeping all contract history clearly organised under the same employee profile.
You can now filter the Supports Report by support type, making it easier to find and analyse the specific supports you need.
Simply select the filter and then the support type(s) you want to include, and the report will update to show only the relevant rostered supports. This helps streamline reporting, improve visibility, and save time when reviewing supports across your participants.
Astalty now allows you to assign funding schedules to existing services where you may originally not have been able to, or you have forgotten to assign it during initial creation. Simply edit the existing service and select the option 'This service has a funding schedule'.
You can now add a separate weekday daytime travel charge item to your charge item sets and customise the rate charged.
When creating or editing a charge item set, you’ll see a new option to charge a different travel rate. Simply select the three-dot menu beside the weekday daytime charge item and choose Charge different travel rate. This will add a new row directly below the weekday daytime charge item, allowing you to define a specific price for travel if needed.
This gives you more flexibility to accurately reflect travel costs alongside your standard weekday daytime charges.
You can now include your business address and business phone number on invoices, making it easier to meet recipient requirements and avoid processing delays.
Some invoice recipients may require this information before they can process an invoice. If this applies to you, simply enable one or both of the new options: Show address on invoices and Show business phone on invoices. Once enabled, the selected details will automatically appear on all generated invoices.
Applying receipt files is now more flexible and user-friendly when there are missing claims.
Previously, if a receipt (results) file contained claim references that didn’t exist in the invoice batch, Astalty would block the process entirely with an error. This meant you couldn’t proceed at all, without manually editing the file or resolving the discrepancy first.
With this update, Astalty now detects missing claim references upfront and presents a clear confirmation dialog. When you apply a results file and some claims can’t be found in the batch, you’ll see a Missing Claims Warning that lists the missing references and explains they’ll be skipped. You can then choose to proceed and apply the file for all valid claims, or cancel and fix the file before continuing.
If you proceed, only the claims that exist in the batch are processed and allocated, while the missing ones are safely ignored. This change removes unnecessary blockers and makes it much easier to process valid claims without delays.
We’ve improved the experience for users on iPhones and iPads when entering information into input fields.
Previously, iOS Safari would automatically zoom in when you tapped into certain fields, such as password or text inputs. This zooming was unexpected, especially during sign-in or other forms with multiple fields, as you had to keep zooming back out.
With this update, that automatic zoom has been disabled. Input fields now stay at the same scale when you tap into them, making forms smoother and more comfortable to use - particularly during login and authentication flows.
