Adding Centre Capital Costs

This is an Astalty Scheduling feature.

Overview

Centre Capital Costs can be added to group supports or one-on-one supports that take place in a group setting (e.g., a centre). These costs must be enabled in the Charge Item Set before they can be applied to a support.

How to Add Centre Capital Costs

  1. Open the Scheduler

    • Go to the Scheduler and click Add Shift.

  2. Select Group Support

    • Choose Group Support at the top of the shift setup page.

    • Note: Centre Capital Costs can also be added to one-on-one supports taking place in a centre.

  3. Fill in Support Details

    • Add the location, support worker, and participants.

  4. Enable Centre Capital Costs in the Charge Item Set

    • Make sure the Charge Item Set used for this support has Centre Capital Costs. 

    • Without this, you will not be able to apply Centre Capital Costs to the support.

  5. Apply Centre Capital Costs

    • Scroll to the bottom of the shift setup page.

    • Under Charge Options, tick This group support includes Centre Capital Costs.

  1. Save the Support

    • Once selected, Centre Capital Costs will be billed automatically based on the total hours of support provided.

    • Example: For a 4-hour group support, 4 hours of Centre Capital Costs will be billed to each participant.

Billing Options

  • Automatic Billing
     If enabled, Centre Capital Costs will be billed for the entire duration of the support (e.g., 4 hours of support = 4 hours billed to each participant).

  • Alternative Billing
     If you want to bill a different number of hours than the support provided (e.g., billing 2 hours of Centre Capital Costs for a 4-hour support), you can use the Additional/Manual Charges function.

FAQs

Will Centre Capital Costs automatically be added to a support?
No. They will only be added if you select the box ‘This group support includes Centre Capital Costs’.

Does Centre Capital Costs bill automatically based on support hours?

Yes. When enabled, Centre Capital Costs are billed for the entire duration of the support, with the full cost applied to each participant.

Can you add Centre Capital Costs to one-on-one supports?
Yes. Centre Capital Costs can be added to one-on-one supports delivered in a centre.

What if I want to bill Centre Capital Costs differently from the scheduled hours?
You can use the Manual Charges functionality to add or adjust Centre Capital Costs independently of the support’s scheduled duration.
