At the start of this year we announced our integration with DropboxSign to deliver eSignature functionality to Astalty. DropboxSign has been a strong partner thus far however we have recently made the decision to switch to Docusign as our eSignature partner. There's 3 main reasons for this;
We believe Docusign delivers a better signing experience particularly on mobile devices
We were able to secure better pricing with Docusign meaning we can pass on these savings to our customers (more on this below)
Docusign allows us to send multiple documents at once which will further streamline the signing process and further reduce costs as you can now send multiple documents in a single request
Even though the DropboxSign had a pleasant signing experience across all devices, Docusign offers a simplified 'focussed' signing experience which we believe delivers a much smoother signing experience particularly on mobile phone.
Ease of use and accessibility of our eSignature is a high priority as users of all abilities will be interacting with the signing interface.
Signature Requests prepared via Astalty were charged at $1.20 including GST. As part of our partnership with Docusign, we were able to secure lowing pricing and therefore we're happy to announce we'll be dropping the price of each Signature Request to $1.00 including GST.
Whilst DropboxSign did technically allow multiple documents to be signed at once, all documents were returned in a single merged PDF which did not align with the way Astalty stores documents, Participant Records and User Records. Docusign allows us to not only send individual documents but also store each individual document after it has been signed. This means you will be able to send multiple documents at once and receive multiple documents back, all stored nicely in Astalty against the associated Participant Records.
Due to the ability to send multiple documents, this also delivers an even bigger cost saving as you can send multiple documents for just $1.00 whereas previously you would have to send each document separately each costing $1.20.
We will be switching a small group of customers to Docusign on the 11th of November with the remainder on the 18th of November. You will be notified this week if you are part of the first group being moved to Docusign.
The cost for eSignatures will be reduced to $1.00 on the 6th of November for all customers.
This includes any Signature Requests sent during the transition period even if you're still on DropboxSign.
Nothing will change in the way you prepare your signature requests in Astalty. Nor will anything major change for those signing the documents. The only major difference is that the interface is slightly different with Docusign however it behaves much the same as DropboxSign.
Any signature requests that were prepared using DropboxSign, once signed, will still be automatically uploaded back into Astalty. They will continue to work as normal until the 22nd of January 2025 - after this date you will need to re-send them via Docusign.
Please email support@astalty.com.au and we'll happily assist.
