Complaints Export

You can bulk export your complaints using the Complaints Export in Astalty. You can download them as a CSV spreadsheet (one row per record) or as PDF documents (one PDF per record, bundled into a ZIP), which is useful for reporting, record-keeping, and audits.

Finding the Complaints Export

To generate an export head to the Exports page in Astalty and click Create Export. Under the Forms heading, select Complaints, or click here.

Creating the Export

Once you're in the Complaints Export, use the Export Filters to refine what's included. All filters are optional — leave them blank to export every record.

  • From and To — limit the export to complaints within a date range.
  • Status — limit the export to complaints with a specific status.

Export Format

Under Export Format, choose CSV or PDF:

  • CSV — a spreadsheet with one row per complaint record.
  • PDF — a formatted PDF for each record, matching the layout of exporting an entry individually. When more than one record is included, the PDFs are bundled together in a ZIP file for you to download.

Export Options

  • Exclude archived — on by default, so archived complaints are left out of the export.
  • Exclude staff surnames — off by default. When selected, staff member surnames are abbreviated (for example, Jane S) throughout the export.

When you are ready, select Create Export.

Downloading the Export

When the export is ready it will appear on the Exports page where you can click Download to save it to your device.

Permissions

Access to the Exports page is controlled by your Exports permission, and the export only contains the complaints you're able to view. See Roles & Permissions for more on how access works.
