Record Acknowledgement
Overview
This guide explains how to require Support Workers to acknowledge important Records within the Astalty app. When enabled, workers must read and confirm key documents — helping ensure critical information is seen and understood.
Setting Up Acknowledgement Requirements
To require acknowledgement on a Record, two conditions must be met:
- The record's Record Type must be set to Visible to Support Workers

- Once that is set, you will see the option to mark the record as Requires Support Worker Acknowledgement

Enable both settings when creating or editing the Record to activate the acknowledgement workflow.
Where It Appears in the App
Once a Record requiring acknowledgement is created, Support Workers will be prompted in several places within the Astalty app:
- Home page — displayed below the days shifts
- Shift details — pending Records will be displayed by a yellow Unread indictor under Relevant Records
- Participant profile — the Record is visible when accessing the relevant Participant under the Records tab

How Workers Acknowledge a Record
When a Support Worker opens a Record that requires acknowledgement:
- They must scroll to the bottom of the document before any action is available
- Once they reach the bottom, they will be able to tap on the "Read the full document to acknowledge" button

- After clicking, the Record is marked as read and acknowledged in the app

This ensures workers have had the opportunity to review the full document before confirming.
