Forms Settings

Settings → Forms controls whether your External forms appear in the Astalty app.

Overview

Anyone in your organisation can submit an External form. Unlike Internal forms, access to an External form isn't granted per user or user group — it is open to every user, and to anyone holding the form's link.

That makes External forms useful for referrals, intake and feedback, and awkward in the app: every published External form appears in the app's Forms list for every staff member, including Support Workers who will never fill one in. App Form Visibility hides them.

The setting lives on Settings → Forms, in the App Form Visibility card. It is separate from each form's own Form Settings, which control that one form.

Before You Start

Roles can be adjusted — see Role Permissions.

Choosing A Visibility Mode

1. Go to Settings → Forms.
2. In the App Form Visibility card, click Edit.
3. Choose a Visibility Mode:
   • Default — all External forms are visible on the mobile app.
   • Hide External Forms on App — External forms are not shown to users on the mobile app.
4. Click Update.

The new mode applies to everyone straight away. Staff already in the app see the change next time the Forms list refreshes.

What The Setting Changes

Hide External Forms on App affects one list: Forms, under the Profile tab of the Astalty app. Internal forms are unaffected there, and everything below carries on working as normal.
