In this session, we walk through some of the new features released in Astalty throughout October 2026, covering updates to forms, registers and action items, leave and shift approvals, funding and budgets, finance and services, flexible group supports and custom allowances, staff and reporting tools, and chat, SMS and Outlook.

What's Covered

• Registers and Action Items (Beta) - track numbered register entries built from a form, raise follow-up actions from incidents, feedback, referrals and registers, and notify assignees in-app and by email.
• Commenting on Form Submissions - add internal, team-only comments to any form submission, with the three most recent shown at a glance.
• Removing a Participant or User Association - unlink a wrongly assigned Participant or team member from a form submission without deleting it.
• Editing Submitted Answers - edit Multi Select and User Select answers in place, with follow-up questions updating straight away as conditional logic re-runs.
• Approving Leave and Affected Shifts - choose which affected shifts a worker keeps when approving leave, and broadcast the released shifts to the shift board in the same step.
• Team Leader Availability Notifications - send leave and availability requests to the requester's Team Leader, with fallback recipients if there isn't one.
• Commenting on a Shift - leave internal comments on shifts in Shift Approvals that Support Workers can't see.
• Clock In/Out Radius (Beta) - only allow workers to clock in or out when their device is within a set distance of the support location.
• Funding Utilisation - see spent, scheduled and remaining funding by funding period, switch between hours and dollars, and check funding while creating a task.
• Budget Item Quantity From a Dollar Amount - type a dollar total and let Astalty work out the quantity from the unit price without going over.
• Recurring Transport Budgets for PACE Plans - record Transport Recurring funding in the new Recurring budget group, paid by the NDIA straight to the Participant.
• Participant Invoice Statements - download a PDF statement for any period with balances, an activity ledger, outstanding invoices and bank details.
• Support Worker Name Format on Invoices - choose provider-wide whether invoices show a worker's full name or first name and last initial.
• Archiving and Inactive Charge Items - archive a Charge Item Set still attached to a Service, or mark a Charge Item or Set inactive for a single Participant.
• Excluding a State Public Holiday for a Group - stop public holiday rates applying to specific Public Holiday Groups while the holiday still applies everywhere else.
• Flexible Group Supports (Beta) - bill each worker's time on a group support in separate blocks, each with its own Participants, ratio and Charge Item Set.
• Custom Allowances (Beta) - create your own allowances, add them to shifts and send them to Employment Hero, PayCat, QuickBooks Payroll or Xero.
• Emergency Contacts and Next of Kin - record up to 10 emergency contacts and next of kin on staff profiles, with Support Workers managing their own in the app.
• Role Settings on the Permissions Tab - see a user's role-wide settings at a glance, with any per-user overrides clearly flagged.
• Auditor Access to Forms and Templates - give Auditors read-only access to every form and the account's document and note templates on Astalty Premium.
• Years of Experience Report - report on each team member's years of industry experience and years of service, with workforce averages for tenders.
• Participants by Diagnosis Report - list every active Participant with their primary and secondary diagnosis, filterable by diagnosis, region, coordinator or team.
• Inserting a Note Template in Chat - drop a saved Note Template straight into a chat message instead of retyping it.
• Saving SMS Attachments - save photos and files received by SMS to a Participant's documents or an existing case note without leaving the inbox.
• Astalty for Outlook Updates - add emails to existing tasks, pre-fill task notes from the email text, and get clearer attachment checks and dark mode.
