> Configure Site Information Types, Site Record Types, and Site Tags in Astalty.

Scheduling add-on - This feature requires the Scheduling add-on, which is available on Astalty Premium. See How to enable Scheduling.

## Accessing Sites Settings

Open **Settings**, then [**Sites**](https://app.astalty.com.au/settings/sites).

The page contains Site Information Types, Site Record Types, and Site Tags.

![The Sites settings page, with Settings highlighted in the main menu and Sites highlighted in the settings menu. Site Information Types lists types such as Lockbox Code and Wifi Password with Required and Visible To Support Workers badges, above Site Record Types.](https://docs.astalty.com.au/assets/sitesettings.png)

### Site Information Types

Information types define the information items available on every Site, such as a lockbox code or bin collection day.

## Adding an Information Type

Select **Add Type**, then configure:

- **Name**
- **Required**, which identifies a missing item on Sites without this type
- **Documents Allowed**, which permits attachments on items of this type
- **Visible to Support Workers**, which permits mobile access for eligible Support Workers
- **Default Content**, which pre-fills the item's Details when it is created

Save the type. You can also reorder Information Types on the Settings page.

### Editing an Information Type

Select **Edit**, change the fields, then save. Changes apply to this type across all Sites. A type cannot be deleted while an existing Site Information Item uses it.

## Site Record Types

Record types define the compliance records available on every Site. A type can control expiry tracking, whether the record is required, whether Documents are required, and Support Worker visibility.

Use [Site Record Notifications](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/notifications/site-record-notifications) to notify eligible staff about expiring records.

## Adding a Record Type

Select **Add Type**, then configure:

- **Name**
- **Has expiry date**
- **Required record**
- **Documents required**
- **Visible to Support Workers**

Save the type. You can also reorder Record Types on the Settings page.

### Editing a Record Type

Select **Edit**, change the fields, then save. Changes apply across all Sites.

### Archiving a Record Type

Archiving a Record Type stops it being offered when staff add a new Site Record and stops it counting as a required Record, but Sites that already have one keep it, and any configured [Site Record Notifications](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/notifications/site-record-notifications) stop sending for it.

To archive a type, open its actions menu and select **Archive**, then confirm. Select **Unarchive** from the same actions menu at any time to restore both.

Use the **Status** filter above the Site Record Types table to show **Active**, **Archived**, or **All** types; it defaults to **Active**. An archived type shows a red **Archived** chip beside its name.

A Record Type already used by a Site Record cannot be deleted. Select **Delete** to see what's blocking it, then select **Archive instead** to archive the type without removing those Records.

### Site Tags

Tags are reusable, colour-coded labels that users can attach to Sites and use as a list filter.

### Creating a Tag

Select **Create Tag**, enter a **Name**, choose a colour, then save. You can also edit or delete a Tag. Editing changes the Tag everywhere. Deleting removes it from every Site and cannot be undone.

Apply a Tag from the Tags row on a Site profile. See [Creating and Managing Sites](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/creating-and-managing-sites#site-tags).
