> Group team members under a single Team Leader to focus reports and dashboards.

Teams in Astalty allow you to assign your team members into Teams that have a single Team Leader. This allows your Team Leaders to focus on their team when looking at reports and dashboards.

Each user can belong to one Team. Creating a Team also creates a reserved User Group with the same name, and Astalty keeps its membership in step with the Team.

## Creating Teams

By default, only Admins can create or change Teams.

To create a new Team, go to the [Users settings page](https://app.astalty.com.au/settings/users) and select **Create Team**.

### Team Name

Enter a unique Team name, then select **Create**.

> **A User Group will be created automatically**
>
> When you create a Team, Astalty will create a User Group with the same name automatically. Use that group when choosing who receives a notification.

## Managing Team Members

Open the menu beside the Team and select **Manage Members**.

Select the Team Members and a Team Leader, then save. The Team Leader must be one of the selected Team Members and must have the Admin or Manager role. A user who already belongs to another Team cannot be added until they are removed from that Team.

## Renaming and Deleting Teams

Renaming a Team also renames its reserved User Group. Deleting a Team deletes that User Group and any qualification requirements attached to the group. A Team with active members cannot be deleted, so remove its active members first.
