> What Participant information Support Workers can see in the app.

Scheduling add-on - This feature requires the Scheduling add-on, which is available on Astalty Premium. See How to enable Scheduling.

## Overview

Support Workers can open a Participant's profile from an assigned support. The profile includes core details allowed by your organisation's Scheduling settings. Risks, Information Items, Goals, Records, and Forms appear only when they are available to Support Workers.

Use these guides to choose what they can see:

- [Making Risks Visible to Support Workers](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/participants/risks)
- [Making Information Items Visible to Support Workers](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/scheduling/setup/what-support-workers-see/information-items-visibility-toggle-to-support-workers)
- [Making Records Visible to Support Workers](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/scheduling/setup/what-support-workers-see/making-records-visible-to-support-workers)
- [Making Forms Visible to Support Workers](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/forms/manage-forms/settings)

## App Privacy - Screenshots

The **App Privacy** setting allows administrators to control whether Support Workers can take screenshots or record video within the Astalty mobile app. This setting is found within **Scheduling Settings**.

## How to Configure App Privacy

1. From the left-hand menu, open **Settings**.
2. Select [**Scheduling Settings**](https://app.astalty.com.au/settings/scheduling).
3. Select **Edit** on the **Notes & Visibility** card, then scroll to **App Privacy**.
4. Choose one of the following options:

**Allow Screenshots** - Support Workers can take screenshots within the mobile app.

**Forbid Screenshots** - The app asks the device operating system to block screenshots and screen recording for Support Workers.

![The App Privacy options in the Notes & Visibility settings drawer, with Forbid Screenshots selected and highlighted below Allow Screenshots, each with a short description of its effect in the mobile app.](https://docs.astalty.com.au/assets/appprivacysetting-guide.png)

## How it Works

When **Forbid Screenshots** is selected, the app prevents screen capture. If a screenshot attempt is detected, it shows **Screen Capture Disabled** and blurs the app behind the message.

## Risks

Where Risks have been identified as having the potential to impact on direct support, you will see these listed under the heading **Risks** within the Participant's profile.

![The Participant Details screen in the app with the Risks section highlighted, listing four risks such as Neglect Of Dietary Needs between the Goals and Information Items sections, above Records.](https://docs.astalty.com.au/assets/participant-app-risks-1-1767853542.png)

Select a Risk to view its details, including **Likelihood**, **Consequence**, and the Controls in place.

- See [Participant Risks](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/participants/risks) to control whether Support Workers can view risks.

## Information Items

- When you select an information item, it opens on its own screen with more detail.
- The content shown depends on what your organisation has chosen to make visible.
- See [Information Item Visibility](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/scheduling/setup/what-support-workers-see/information-items-visibility-toggle-to-support-workers) to make Information Items visible to Support Workers.

## Records and Documents

- Records can also be set as **Visible to Support Workers**.
- This may include documents such as a **Behaviour Support Plan**, ensuring workers have access to critical information at the point of support.
- See [Making Records Visible to Support Workers](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/scheduling/setup/what-support-workers-see/making-records-visible-to-support-workers).
- Depending on the settings applied to the Record, Support Workers may also be required to [Acknowledge Records](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/scheduling/setup/what-support-workers-see/record-acknowledgement).

#### Watching a Record Video

A Participant Record can have a **video** attached to it as well as documents. For example, it could demonstrate how a Participant communicates. See [Participant Records](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/participants/participant-records#file-types-and-size-limits) for supported uploads.

Tap the video under **Records** and it plays in the app, with the usual play, pause and scrubbing controls. You don't need to leave Astalty or download anything first.

A few things worth knowing:

- Playback **pauses when you leave the screen**, so a video never keeps playing in the background.
- The sound plays even if your iPhone is on silent.
- Videos are **streamed**, not stored on your device, so you need a data connection to watch one. Without a connection, the app reports that the document is not available.

> **Upload as MP4 for the widest device support**
>
> Astalty accepts MP4, WebM and MOV, but playback depends on what the Support Worker's phone supports. MP4 plays on the broadest range of iPhone and Android devices, so it's the safest format to upload for a Record your team needs to watch in the field.

PDFs and images open in the app. Word documents (.doc and .docx) **cannot** be previewed in the app. Convert a Word document to PDF before attaching it to a Record that workers must open in the app.

## Forms

If a Form is required at clock-out, the app prompts you to complete it before you finish the shift. See [Clocking In and Out of a Shift](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/scheduling/support-worker-app/during-a-shift/clocking-in-and-out-of-a-shift).

To complete an Incident Report or another available Form, open the shift from your calendar and select **View Shift**.

![The weekly schedule with a shift selected and its action menu open, with an arrow pointing to View Shift below the Clock In button.](https://docs.astalty.com.au/assets/view-shift-1.png)

Select **Forms**, then choose the Incident Report Form. Required Forms for the shift also appear in this list and must be resolved before clock-out.

![The shift details screen in the app with Overview, Time and Travel cards, and the Forms row highlighted under Action Items showing 6 optional, above Schedule Tasks.](https://docs.astalty.com.au/assets/shift-forms-1.png)

![The Forms screen in the app, with two forms under Participant Forms and the Participant Incident Report Form highlighted under General Forms.](https://docs.astalty.com.au/assets/forms-list-1.png)

Complete and submit the Incident Form.

> **The Form uses people from this shift**
>
> The Form can select only Participants and Support Workers involved in the shift.

![The Participant Incident Report Form open at Incident Details, with Elena Marchetti selected under Which Participants were involved? and the list open showing her as the only Participant to choose, above Name and Contact fields for anyone else involved.](https://docs.astalty.com.au/assets/incident-report-form-1.jpg)

The app has a second Forms list under **Profile**, separate from Forms associated with a Shift. External Forms can be hidden from that list for everyone. See [Forms Settings](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/settings/forms-settings).

### Previous Submissions

When your organisation turns on [Recent Submissions in the Astalty App](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/forms/manage-forms/settings#recent-submissions-in-the-astalty-app) for a Form, you can look back at its recent submissions for a Participant on your shift - for example, to check when medication was last given.

From a shift's Forms list, select a Form. If it has recent submissions, select **View Submission** (**View Submissions** when there is more than one): with one submission, this opens straight to its answers; with more than one, it lists them so you can choose one.

![A shift's Forms screen with the Weekly Wellbeing Check-in tagged Submitted under Participant Forms, and its sheet open showing the Participant and form name above Open Form and View Submission buttons.](https://docs.astalty.com.au/assets/app-recent-form-submissions-shift-guide.png)

From a Participant's profile, select **Previous Submissions** to see their recent submissions across every Form with this setting on, most recent first.

![The Previous Submissions screen for a Participant, listing two Weekly Wellbeing Check-in submissions, most recent first, each with its date and time, how long ago and who submitted it.](https://docs.astalty.com.au/assets/app-previous-submissions-list.png)

Select a submission to see who submitted it, when, and their answers.

![A Weekly Wellbeing Check-in submission open in the app, with its date and time in the header, the Support Worker who submitted it under Submitted By, and their answers under Answers.](https://docs.astalty.com.au/assets/app-form-submission-detail.png)

> **Includes submissions from other staff**
>
> Recent submissions include ones made by other Support Workers and staff, not only your own, so you see the Participant's full recent history for that Form.
