# Searching Participants

> Search, filter, sort, and switch views on the Participants page to find anyone quickly.

## Overview

The [Participants page](https://app.astalty.com.au/participants) is the starting point for everything you do with a Participant. From here you can switch between views, search, filter, and sort the list, then open a Participant to manage their profile.

## My vs All Participants

At the top of the page you can switch between two views:

- **My Participants** - Participants where you are the Primary or Service Coordinator.
- **All Participants** - every Participant in your account. Team members without access to all Participants see only **My Participants**.

Astalty remembers the last view you used, so the page opens on the same view next time.

## Searching

Use the search box to quickly find a Participant by name. The list filters as you type, and the search clears automatically when you open a Participant's profile.

## Filtering

Open the filters to narrow the list. Depending on your permissions and the features enabled for your account, you can filter by:

- **Status** - Active or Archived Participants.
- **Active Alerts** - whether the Participant currently has an alert.
- **Check-in** - Overdue, Due today, Due tomorrow, or Due within 7 days.
- **Primary Coordinator** and **Service Coordinator** - including unassigned. Filter by **Primary Coordinator** to see only the Participants a team member is primarily responsible for, or **Service Coordinator** to see only those they cover as a Service Coordinator. See [Primary vs Service Coordinators](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/participants/core-concepts/primary-vs-service-coordinators) for the difference.
- **Team Member**, **Team**, **Region**, and **Site**.
- **Tags** - one or more Participant tags.
- **Date Created**, **Exited**, and **Exit Date**.
- **Address** and **Age**.

To find archived Participants, set the **Status** filter to *Archived*. See [Archiving & Restoring Participants](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/participants/archiving-restoring-participants) for more detail.

## Columns & sorting

The list shows the NDIS number, first name, last name, and (in the **All Participants** view) the Primary Coordinator. If enabled for your account, you'll also see the latest check-in and tags. Click a sortable column heading to sort the list - Astalty remembers your sort between visits.

## Opening a Participant

Click any row to open that Participant's profile, where you can manage their records, documents, plans, notes, and more.
