> The different ways to navigate to features, settings, and profiles in Astalty.

## Overview

Use the Side Menu to open features and the Top Menu for common actions. The options you see depend on your permissions and the features enabled for your account.

## Side Menu

The Side Menu links to features, profiles and settings. Your user menu is at the bottom.

When your menu is grouped into sections, **Dashboard** and **Favourites** sit at the top and the other features sit under **Work**, **Manage**, **Insights**, **Library** and **Configure**. Select a section to open it. **Search** above them opens the [Quick Action Menu](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/navigating-astalty/quick-action-menu).

### Side Menu Toggle

Open your user menu at the bottom of the Side Menu, then select **Sidebar Behaviour**. Choose **Manual** to control the sidebar yourself, or **Automatic** for automatic expansion and collapse.

Use the top toggle button, **CMD + B** on Mac or **CTRL + B** on Windows to expand or collapse the Side Menu. The keyboard shortcut does not run while you are typing in an input or editor.

## Top Menu

The Top Menu contains:

1. The Side Menu toggle.
2. **Support** and **User Guide**.
3. A quick task button.
4. **SMS** and **Chat** shortcuts, when those features are enabled.
5. **Notifications**.

New users may also see **Training**.
