> What you get with Astalty Premium and how to make the most of its features.

Astalty Premium adds tools for consistent service records, document generation, compliance, referrals, workforce matching and integration. It also includes the features available on the lower plans.

Some capabilities need an extra choice after you subscribe:

- The Account Owner can enable **Scheduling**, **Staff Payments**, **Participant Duplication**, **Scheduling Costs** and **Chat** from [Optional Features](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/settings/optional-features). Features that depend on Scheduling only work after Scheduling is enabled.
- **eSignatures** is a usage-based add-on. SMS also has separate number and message charges. Check the prices and terms shown in your Billing area before enabling or using these features.
- Beta features such as webhooks need to be enabled for your account.

The sections below explain what the main Premium features help you do and link to the setup or task guide for each one.

## Note Templates

Create reusable note structures so workers capture the details your organisation needs in a consistent format. Start with [setting up Note Templates](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/settings/tasks-notes-settings/note-templates).

## Note Flagging

Flag case notes for review automatically. A note checker looks for content you want caught, such as behaviours of concern, or for expected content a note is missing, such as a sign-off. Set checkers up in [Note Flagging](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/settings/note-flagging), then follow up each flag in the [Flagged Notes Report](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/reports/flagged-notes-report) or with [Flagged Notes notifications](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/notifications/flagged-note-notifications).

## Organisation Tags

Add tags to Organisations, then use those tags to filter the directory and find suitable contacts or services. Learn how to [create and apply Organisation Tags](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/directory/organisations/organisation-tags).

## Teams

Group Users into Teams so you can filter dashboards, reports and other supported views by the part of your workforce you need. See how to [create and manage Teams](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/settings/users-settings/teams).

## User Records

Track checks, licences, certificates and other workforce records in one place. You decide which record types to use, what information each type requires and who can manage the records.

### Configuration

Create the record types your organisation needs by following [Set Up User Record Types](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/settings/users-settings/user-records#setting-up-user-record-types).

### Adding Records to Users

After the record types are ready, use [User Records](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/settings/users-settings/user-records) to add the relevant records to each User.

### Reporting

Use the [User Records Report](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/reports/user-records-report) to find missing, expiring and unverified records.

### Notifications

Configure [User Record Notifications](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/notifications/user-record-notification) to alert the right people when a record needs verification or is approaching expiry.

## Participant Records

Track service agreements, risk assessments and other documents or evidence that each Participant needs. Participant Record Types define what to collect and how Astalty should monitor it.

### Configuration

Create the record types your organisation uses by following [Participant Record Types](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/settings/participants-settings/participant-record-types).

### Adding Records to Participants

After the record types are ready, follow [Manage Participant Records](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/participants/participant-records) to add records and supporting documents to a Participant.

### Reporting

Use the [Participant Records Report](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/reports/participant-records-report) to find missing and expiring records across your Participant list.

### Notifications

Configure [Participant Record Notifications](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/notifications/participant-record-notifications) to alert staff before a record expires.

## Document Generation

Build reusable templates for service agreements, consent forms and other documents, then generate a copy with Astalty data inserted into the right places. Begin with [Participant Templates](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/participants/templates) and use the [placeholder reference](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/document-template-placeholders) when designing a template.

## Budget Builder

Build a Participant budget from planned supports, then use the totals when preparing a Schedule of Supports or an external referral. See [Participant Budgets](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/participants/budgets) for the available budget tools.

## eSignatures

Send documents for signing and track each request through to completion. eSignatures is a usage-based add-on: there is no monthly fee, and finalised requests are charged at the rate shown in your Billing area. Review the terms before enabling it, then follow [Set Up and Use eSignatures](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/esignatures).

## Custom and NDIA Templates

Use your own document templates or generate supported NDIA documents with Participant details inserted from Astalty. See [NDIA Templates](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/participants/templates/ndis-templates) and [Custom Templates](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/participants/templates/custom-templates) for the available workflows.

## Calendar

Plan work in Astalty's calendar, view permitted team calendars and link events with Tasks. You can also connect Google Calendar or Outlook to create external events and video meetings. Start with the [Calendar Overview](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/calendar/calendar-overview).

## Forms

Build online forms with the form editor, share them with the intended audience and review submissions in Astalty. Use [Getting Started with Forms](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/forms/getting-started-with-forms) for the full workflow. Incident and referral forms can feed their corresponding registers.

## Incidents

Collect Participant and staff incident reports through forms, then manage the resulting records in the Incidents register. See the [Incidents Overview](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/incidents) for reporting, follow-up and archiving tasks.

## Referrals

Collect and manage incoming referrals, track follow-up work and convert suitable referrals into Participants. Follow [Manage Referrals](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/referrals/referrals) to set up the process.

## Action Items

Assign follow-up work from incidents, referrals, feedback, complaints and custom register entries. Track who is responsible, when the work is due and whether it is complete. See [Action Items](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/action-items) for creating, assigning and completing them.

## Custom Registers

Create registers for information your organisation needs to track, such as risks or quality improvements. Configure the fields, add entries and manage follow-up work with Action Items. Start with [Custom Registers](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/registers).

## Regions

Group Participants, Users and Sites by area, then use those Regions in supported lists, schedules, reports and exports. See [Set Up Regions](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/settings/regions).

## Skills

Build a catalogue of worker Skills, record the Skills each Participant needs and compare them while rostering. This workflow requires the Scheduling optional feature. See [Set Up Skills](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/scheduling/setup/workers/skills).

## Qualifications

Require workers to hold current User Records, such as First Aid or NDIS Worker Screening, before they can be rostered. Requirements can apply [to a User Group](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/settings/users-settings/qualifications) or [to a Participant](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/participants/required-qualifications). With Scheduling enabled, Astalty can warn or block roster changes when a worker does not meet the requirements. You can also report on compliance and notify staff when a qualification expires.

## Support Time Segments

Split one support's billed time across Charge Item Sets, or mark part of the time as **No charge**, without creating separate roster entries. This requires the Scheduling optional feature. See [Use Support Time Segments](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/scheduling/support-time-segments).

## Leave

Let Support Workers request leave against the leave types you configure. With a supported payroll connection, reviewers can compare a request with the worker's balance and send approved leave to Xero or Employment Hero. This requires the Scheduling optional feature. Follow [Set Up and Manage Leave](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/scheduling/leave).

## Custom Allowances

Create allowances your payroll pays that Astalty doesn't work out from the award, such as a working from home or remote area allowance. Add them to a worker's shift, and Astalty sends them to Employment Hero, PayCat, QuickBooks Payroll or Xero. This requires the Scheduling optional feature. See [Custom Allowances](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/scheduling/setup/custom-allowances).

## Retention and Conversion Reporting

Use the [Participant Retention Report](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/reports/participant-retention-report) to review entries, exits, churn and retention by month. Use the [Referral Conversion Report](https://docs.astalty.com.au/guide/reports/referral-conversion-report) to see how many referrals became Participants.
