# Invoice Task & Note Export

> Generate a PDF breakdown of the work done per task under an invoice for recipients or Plan Managers.

The Invoice Task & Note Export creates a PDF that breaks an invoice down by the Tasks charged to it. Use it when an invoice recipient or Plan Manager needs the Task details and notes behind the invoice.

The action is available on the Professional plan and above. You need Finance access, and only Admins can use Exports.

## Finding the Invoice Task & Note Export

1. Open [Finance](https://app.astalty.com.au/finance/invoices), then open **Invoices**.
2. Select the invoice you want to export.
3. Open **Actions** in the top right and select **Export Tasks & Notes**.

Astalty queues the export and takes you to the [Exports](https://app.astalty.com.au/exports) page. Select **Download** when the file is ready.

## What the PDF includes

The PDF contains each unique Task that has a charge on the invoice, ordered with the newest Task first. Each Task shows:

- Task name and date
- Participant
- The team member who completed it
- Every invoice charge for that Task, including item, details, quantity, price and total
- The Task notes, with their formatting preserved

Tasks without a charge on the invoice are not included.

> **Large exports are split into parts**
>
> An export with more than 50 Tasks is delivered as a ZIP file. Each PDF in the ZIP contains up to 50 Tasks and is named with the invoice reference and its part number.
